I was looking for something that was not teflon because of the negative health effects I have read about, and this cookware is a wonderful non-stick alternative. The instructions say you can use little (or no) butter/grease etc., but I always use just a touch depending on what I'm cooking, and NOTHING sticks to these pans. They wash like a breeze so no problem not putting them in the dishwasher. They seem to brown more evenly and heat more effectively than my other, cheaper pots and pans. I would highly recommend to anyone willing to spend the money.
