It does a great job automatically grinding and brewing coffee. Cuisinart quality is evident throughout. The only problem? The grinding chamber gets moist from steam during the brewing process, and must be cleaned out and dried thoroughly after every use.When I ground my own beans, I used a small electric Braun grinder. It was great... I just threw the beans in, ground them up, and dumped them in the basket. No need to fuss and clean the grinder daily, or even weekly.
